Welcome everyone! Thanks for visiting again.

In less than a month, we will be celebrating Nairouz, the Coptic New Year, on September 11. This has always been an exciting time for our church, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to reflect on new beginnings.

While change can be difficult, it’s important for us to embrace this idea of starting over, making the changes we need to grow nearer to God. It’s so good to be part of a church that has seasons, to have different times of the year to focus on different areas of spiritual growth. I am so glad to have a formalized time of reflection at this point in the year.

One of the most admired qualities of women is their ability to generate and foster life. As my dad always used to say, women get to be partners with God in creation through motherhood. Whether or not you are a mother, the appreciation for new beginnings, new life, is a part of us as women. I encourage you during this time to think critically about what new life you want in yourself and in your community. I look forward to hearing from and sharing with you!
